We are looking for a competitive Outside Sales Representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. As part of our team, you recognize and cultivate potential sales leads, travel to meet with prospective clients, and endeavor to transform one-off sales into lasting beneficial relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. You use your skills in deal closing, direct sales, B2B sales, and niche marketing to demonstrate how our program can benefit their bottom line. 

Job Summary:

  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (cold calling, presentations etc)
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Maintain and expand client database
  • Travel to meet clients one-on-one (minimal)
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our products and services, and how they can benefit our customers
  • Manage and track sales and progress in customer relationship management software
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources 
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests 
  • Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales 
  • Work closely with marketing to recognize & promote sales opportunities 
  • Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information
  • Routinely pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities 
  • Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, call reports and assigned projects
  • Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent (preferred not required)
  • A self-starting personality with a spirit of entrepreneurship
  • Prior experience in sales, particularly in a B2B environment
  • Understanding of common sales techniques and theory, including sales funnel
  • Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills 
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals as well as strong negotiation and closing techniques 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
