Highland Heights have partnered with Abundant Life Nutrition and Wellness Center in order to bring you two Certified Holistic Nutritionists! Jayne and Kelly bring a balanced, step by step approach to changing lifestyles and improving health that they use in their lives and the lives of their families.

Their education in Holistic Nutrition looks at the well being of the entire individual and provides a unique perspective on seeking wellness. Their passion for helping others move from stuck to S.M.A.R.T., from settling to succeeding, and surviving to thriving, is evident and engaging.

There is a direct correlation between employee health, productivity, and job satisfaction. Studies have shown that it can increase job performance by 25% and decrease sick days by 27%. Approaching fitness through the lens of SMART goals not only increases adherence to a fitness program but helps people make permanent behavior changes. These behavior changes can assist your company to becoming healthier, more productive and increasingly profitable.

It’s common knowledge that exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet creates a healthy lifestyle. However, there are so many other important factors that can contribute to overall health and wellbeing – including the physical and social environments that surround us, often referred to as our communities.

Communities can exist or be created from a shared physical location, hobbies, interests or other commonalities. They’re about involvement, connection, and togetherness. This feeling of fellowship with others can help provide a sense of purpose and belonging, and in turn, can have a positive effect on overall health and wellbeing.

Research has found found that a person’s social networks can have a significant positive impact on their overall health. It was also found that those with adequate social networks had a 50% greater survival, compared with those who had poor social relationships. Social support has also been found to be particularly important in increasing resilience and promoting recovery from illness.
