Change your habits, change your life

People often think about wellness in terms of physical health — nutrition, exercise, weight management, etc., but it is so much more. Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, fueling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit. Although it always includes striving for health using fitness, supplements and nutrition, it is more about living life fully, a personalized lifestyle that allows you to become the best kind of person that you desire to be.

Restore Health. Reduce Stress. Rediscover Joy.

Highland Heights have partnered with Abundant Life Nutrition and Wellness Center in order to bring you two Certified Holistic Nutritionists! Jayne and Kelly bring a balanced, step by step approach to changing lifestyles and improving health that they use in their lives and the lives of their families.

Their education in Holistic Nutrition looks at the well being of the entire individual and provides a unique perspective on seeking wellness. Their passion for helping others move from stuck to S.M.A.R.T., from settling to succeeding, and surviving to thriving, is evident and engaging.

Realistic, Reliable & Convenient

Establishing a personalized fitness program is more important now than ever. Occupational health problems are skyrocketing due to how long we sit leading to a more sedentary lifestyle. These lifestyle factors can affect employee attendance, increase elevated health risks, mental health, and raising health care costs. It can also decrease productivity and affect your company’s overall growth, culture, and stability.

In numerous corporate scenarios, employees may just require a small push in the right direction towards their health goals. Having the tools to reach these goals is where employees may need additional assistance. In our current day and age, having access to an experienced and certified fitness specialist can be the difference between failure and success for health goals.

Matt Clark, a degreed and multi-certified fitness and movement specialist, uses scientifically proven modalities of fitness training to help himself and thousands of others achieve their fitness goals. This is done through a specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely manner, or SMART goals. Approaching fitness through the lens of SMART goals not only increases adherence to a fitness program but helps people make permanent behavior changes. These behavior changes can assist your company to becoming healthier, more productive and increasingly profitable.

Involvement, Connection & Togetherness

It’s common knowledge that exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet creates a healthy lifestyle. However, there are so many other important factors that can contribute to overall health and wellbeing – including the physical and social environments that surround us, often referred to as our communities.

Communities can exist or be created from a shared physical location, hobbies, interests or other commonalities. They’re about involvement, connection, and togetherness. This feeling of fellowship with others can help provide a sense of purpose and belonging, and in turn, can have a positive effect on overall health and wellbeing.

Research has found found that a person’s social networks can have a significant positive impact on their overall health. It was also found that those with adequate social networks had a 50% greater survival, compared with those who had poor social relationships. Social support has also been found to be particularly important in increasing resilience and promoting recovery from illness.

  • Motivation – when you are surrounded by people who are making moves, it can inspire and motivate you to do the same.
  • Learning Opportunities – everyone knows something you don’t. You can reach out to your community to ask questions and get advice.
  • Make Friends – making friends can be difficult, especially as you get older. Being part of a community gives you the opportunity to meet and bond with like-minded people.
  • Networking Opportunities – whether you’re in need of a service or you have a service to offer, it is likely that your peers can make introductions for you.
  • Stress relief – community events give you the chance to interact and have fun with others, which in turn, can relieve stress. Humans are social creatures by nature.
  • Accountability – whenever you are aiming for a new goal, a community surrounding you with encouragement is crucial

We want you to experience this kind of community when you join WNFC12 so we have designed a community with you in mind!
